We find that if they cannot answer these 3 questions immediately, then that gives us a clearer idea of how prepared the client is to be online.

Why should I visit your web site (without spending any money)?

The #1 reason people visit web sites is for information. Thus, if you provide information for people such as free marketing tips, a how-to section, or tips for buying your product or service, you have given a benefit for visiting your site.

The tips for buying your product or service are particularly beneficial because you are helping your potential customers make the best decision they can. It shows that you are thinking of your customers ("Let me help you make the best purchase for your budget"), not yourself ("Buy my stuff because I'm the best").

Why should I return to your website?

People usually won't buy from you until they visit your site 4-5 times. So you should give people a reason to return to your site. Updating product or service information, timely how-to tips, or an upgraded software demo are good reasons for people to return to your site or maybe even bookmark it.

This question also indicates web marketing savvy. Coca Cola does not show the same commercial year after year after year because people will get bored with the same commercial. Nor should anyone show the exact same web site month after month after month. A site should be updated at least every 1 to 3 months, even if the changes are minimal. (Search engines re-index/re-catalogue changed pages).

What separates you from your competition?

We expect to hear company's unique selling proposition (USP) here and try to design or market the site based on this. We are usually amazed when people tell that they are the *best* at something but cannot back it up with customer testimonials or data. We also get many potential clients that have no unique selling proposition.

We often hear the "best customer service" and the "lowest prices" together. From our standpoint, if you want to hire a really talented customer service staff, you have to pay them well. That will affect your overhead and, thus, your prices. Also, we have found that the lowest prices rarely get the best quality.

Six Tips For Building A Content-Rich Website

If you want to achieve lasting success with your website, then the best route to take is to build a content-rich site. A site that has varied and informative articles and information will be big hit with viewers and search engines alike. In case you have writer's block or are not sure how to go about creating more content for your website. Here are some tips to help you get moving.

1. When building content try to solve the problems of your viewers without making them buy something

Of course you have set up your website in order to either make money or "get" something out of it, but it is not productive to build scores of pages with hard-sell messages. People are coming to the net to find solutions to their problems. Provide articles, information and answers to these problems and you will win the respect, and trust of your readers. This is known as "pre-selling" and it is just as important as selling itself.

So, before you start tapping on your keyboard, keep the interests of your readers in mind and then begin.

2. Write about what you know and share your knowledge with your readers

If you have set up a website it means that you know something about your particular field, or have some special interest in it. For example, suppose you are selling digital cameras, why not write some articles reviewing the available cameras that are on the market. Or why not write an article explaining what people should look for when they buy a camera. There are a lot of people out there who don't have the foggiest idea about digital cameras and they would sure be happy to get some unbiased information before buying something.

3. Do research and turn dull reports into interesting articles

You can build on what you know by doing a bit of research on the web. Make a keyword search for "digital cameras" or whatever your field is, and you will find some web pages giving information. Often the information is just listed in a point-wise fashion in bulleted lists. Take this information, and blend it with your own experience to create new articles. You can quote or cite the other articles (with hyperlinks) that you find on the web if they are particularly useful. In fact this is the original idea behind Google's system of PageRank: web pages that are particularly good will earn links or "votes" from other sites.

4. Let your readers help you to create content

If you are not sure what to write about then why not ask your web visitors to submit their questions. These questions will stimulate you to provide answers in the form of articles. A good example of this approach is the site www.askdavetaylor.com . Dave Taylor is a technical "geek". If you have any question about computers, software, html, Mac, linux, unix and related technical matters you can just go to his site and ask a question. Dave's answers comprise hundreds, perhaps thousands, of pages of solid information. In fact, he has 29,300 pages indexed in Google!

You don't have to write hundreds or thousands of pages, but if you follow Dave's example you can certainly build up your site, and easily overcome your "writer's block."

5. Reprint the articles of experts in your field

There is no sense in recreating the wheel. If someone has already written something good about your particular field, you can reprint it. You will have to provide a link back to the author, but if the article really fits in with the theme of your site, then it is worth it. You can find free reprint articles at sites such as www.ezinearticles.com and
www.goarticles.com

6. Let your readers create content directly

Blogs with their "comments" sections are now one of the most popular ways of allowing web visitors to add their thoughts and ideas. You can also set up a bulletin board or forum using the phpBB software (which is pre-installed with many hosting plans). If you have enough traffic and an audience that is passionately interested in the themes of your website, then your own readers will create pages and pages of interesting content. You will of course have to moderate the forums or blogs, but the reward to you in terms of useful content will be worth it.

So, if your site is a bit thin on content, think about these six tips and take steps towards providing information that will make your site a place where people can come and find solutions to their problems or answers to their questions.

Keywords, Content And Copywriting

Today WebPages must compete for survival just like animals in the wild. Natural selection isn't just a concept limited to Mother Nature. Even in the world of cyberspace there is a "law of the jungle". Search engine optimization or (SEO) lies at the core of this law. Many skills must be mastered to rise to the top. Three important ones are keywords, content and copywriting. Let's begin with the first of the three.

Keywords are extremely important because they act as a marker for search engines. Keywords can be placed anywhere on a website. Besides being noticed they must be carefully selected. You must take care to choose keywords that are not only relevant to your site but also that are likely to be used by those who are searching for what is on your site. Several things must be taken into account. Variations in spelling of the keywords as well as spelling errors can conceivably drive traffic to your site. The links in your site are a vitally important spot to place keywords because not only will they be noticed by search engines but they will also direct people to the other pages on your site thus increasing your ranking.

Content is the second factor here. Beyond the obvious fact that the content of your site is what people are going to read when they get to your site the content is the larger aspect of keywords. The keywords may be the specific point that a search may target but the better your content in both amount but quality the easier it will be to place you keywords. Imbedding keywords in content is one way to get them spotted by search engines but good content will force you to have good keywords. As it has been said the best way to hide something is in plain sight.

To better facilitate the use of the aforementioned factors you must understand copyright concepts. Certain things can be copyrighted and certain things can't. Slogans, titles, names and related items can't be copyrighted although titles can be trademarked. One important thing to keep in mind is how you use something. The context of how you use a word or phrase or what have you can violate a copyright or not. Copyright in many areas is tricky so be careful. Things created by the government are free domain as well as donated items or things people give permission to use by other people for any purpose.

Learn the rules before you play the game.

Having Content Is Not Enough

We have heard of such a phrase where 'content is king'. This applies to online marketing. The reasoning is that by offering useful information to the web community, Google will rank it higher. Having lots of relevant content will in essence propel your website ranking and this will drive more visitors to your site.

I agree that having plenty of relevant content is crucial to drive visitors into a web site. However, to succeed in online marketing, we need the four 'P' and not just one P. Content is the product aspect of the four P. Let's picture this. You have added relevant contents to your site and you don't do anything else other than continually adding content.

That will work. Google spider will eventually visit you site and rank it higher if your content is relevant. But it won't work as well as having the other three P's in your marketing campaign. For example, instead of posting the content on your website alone, you can think of submitting to various article directories available. There are about hundreds of directories of this nature.

This is the 'place' or distribution aspect of the four P's. Instead of one source, your potential customers can then find your content through hundreds of distribution channel around the web. When you are starting up, you have low visitor counts. Using this distribution method, you can attract up to hundreds times more visitors than if you had just posted your content on your site.

The best thing is that these article directories are free. All you need is your time. You can also pay a small fee to organization that will help you submit one article to hundreds of article directories. There are also article directories that specializes on certain field, which I prefer. Your visitor counts will be lower if you submit to these niche directories. However, these are a very interested visitors, rather than just casually-browsing visitors. Furthermore, general directories are having a lot more subcategories than niche directories and visitors will have a harder time finding your content.

My suggestion is to prioritize. There are hundreds of article directories, both general and niches. Your priority should be to submit to niche categories first and then to general article submissions when time permits. This way, you will get more interested visitors to start with. Once they are on you site, you will have an easier time selling your products or services.

Easy Brainstorming

Are you a content writer? If so, how do you write your
content? Do you brainstorm? If not, you may want to think
about doing so. After a close examination, you will see exactly
how brainstorming can help you, when it comes to writing
content.

Before examining the benefit of using brainstorming to write
content, it is important that you first understand exactly what
brainstorming is. Brainstorming is a technique that is used in
many different situations, not just article writing. In most
cases, brainstorming is used in problem solving. When it comes
to article writing, that problem may be exactly what to write or
even how to write it. The most effective way to brainstorm is
to write down all of your ideas as they come to you. Whether or
not you use those ideas will be completely up to you, but at
least you will have them recorded on paper.

One of the hardest parts of brainstorming is coming up with
ideas. If you are a content writer, you are urged to have a
pen and paper handy at all times. This will be very helpful to
you, as many writers develop ideas at some of the most
inconvenient times. In addition to sitting down and recording
ideas that you, yourself, have thought of, you can also do a
little bit of research. The easiest way to do this research is
online. Search engines and article directories can be your best
sources of information. You should perform standard internet
searches on topics that interest you or topics that you are
willing to write about. Searching the internet is one of the
best ways to get ideas for your content. You can take those
ideas and then brainstorm from there. In fact, you next step
may want to be creating an outline for yourself. Outlines are
just as beneficial to article writers as brainstorming is.

Now that you know exactly what brainstorming is, what it
entails, and how to get brainstorming ideas, you may be
wondering exactly why you should do it. The most obvious reason
why you should use brainstorming to your advantage is to come up
with ideas. There are many article writers who claim that they
easily run out of ideas for new content. With an unlimited
number of topics at your fingertips, this should never happen.
As a content writer, you should always have something to write
about. This is where brainstorming can come in. For instance,
do you know that you could take a content topic that you
already used to create a brand new article? Say that you wrote
a content on giving gift baskets as a wedding gift. When
sitting down and thinking, or brainstorming, you may be able to
get other gift basket article ideas, such as gift baskets for
Christmas or even how to make your own gift baskets.

Another one of the many benefits to brainstorming is that the
ideas often just keep on flowing. As it was mentioned above, if
you wrote a content on gift baskets making great wedding gifts,
you need to disassociate yourself from wedding gifts and just
focus on gift baskets. Once you do so, it is likely that your
mind will be filled with ideas. Making brainstorming as easy
and as simple as it can be is one of the best ways to come up
with the most ideas. And, as previously mentioned, you don't
have to come up with ideas on your own. You can use your local
library, search engines, article directories, and online forums
to help you brainstorm and generate ideas for your content. In
fact, the more tools that you use, the better results your
brainstorming sessions may produce.

As you can see, there are a number of benefits to taking the
time to brainstorm. To make brainstorming as effective as can
be, you are urged to brainstorm in an area that you feel
comfortable in. Whether this area is in front of your computer
or outside basking in the sunshine; comfort is the key to a
successful brainstorming session.

P.S. Although you may feel as if you have run out of content to
write, you are advised against going with your first impulse.
When brainstorming, you are almost always guaranteed to come up
with a whole collection of new ideas.

Copying Content - Still Valuable, or A Thing of The Past?

Within the virtual world of the internet, "content" is to "money" in real life. Content is our commodity, it is what people trade all around the world. But is "other people's content" actually valuable?

There are many specialists out there that believe that content that has been copied is not valuable anymore and may actually penalize your website online for listing such content but I on the other hand beg to differ.

Ezine article directories world wide consistently list the same ol' content as the other. They all pull into the same pool of authors who ultimately submit the same articles to each directory. My question is this, if copied content is not valuable anymore, why is it that these article directories are some of the most popular websites world wide?

See if you break down the authors article, you start to get clues as to why "copied content" can still be mistaken for original content.

Title & Author Stay The Same, But The Rest Is Not Just Gravy:

One constant is true for all articles submitted by authors: Their "title" and "author" are always the same but everything else tends to change in the process of submitting the article.

See, some article directories ask for a "description" to post online leading to the article. In many cases, I've seen authors simply make up their own description as they go which in turn gives the article a unique feel to it.

HTML Formatted Articles Changes The Dynamics Of The Article:

In other cases, some article directories allow for HTML to be posted with the article. When this is allowed, you will usually get a unique article created by the author and edited by the author. For those sites that allow HTML, there are others that don't allow HTML which in turn depends on the article directory and its own "author guidelines" about a well formatted article. Some article directories allow images, while others do not.

Some article directories have "internal" HTML editors known as "WYSIWYG" editors. These act as an HTML editor which allows the author to personalize their article with bolding text, adding links, etc.

= = = =

With All Of These Different Scenarios, Is The Content Still Valuable?

ABSOLUTELY! Beyond and besides the fact that every article directory requires different methods of submitting your article, each article directory is also unique to each other thus providing different content around the article itself.

It's well known that search engines do pick out and identify your "template" content, vs. your "internal" content but at the same time, your template content is unique and hopefully isn't 100% copied somewhere else.

In Conclusion:

Although copied content is looked down on, every website out there has some form of copied content somewhere within their site. Whether it be within your menu system, or content. The fact is, you can ultimately change copied content into unique content by changing the dynamics or properties of the content itself.

The Easiest Way to Create Articles

There are many webmasters that find writing articles for their site to be a very tedious task. Many people who need to write articles also procrastinate as much as they can to delay the amount of writing they need to do. Many people dread writing articles because they find researching for the topic and writing down original materials will be too taxing on them.

You need to have your creative juices flowing and simply downloading an article would be plagiarism or tantamount to stealing, not exactly. Have you ever heard about public domain? These are articles written down by many authors that have declared their works to be public domain, which means anybody can use it for whatever purpose they want. This is the easiest way to create articles!

While most authors would prefer to copyright their work for their rights, there are also a number who doesn’t mind sharing their work. Public domain articles are not owned by anybody and can be used and abused by anyone. The writers have waived their rights to their works and it is out there for the public to make use of.

You can use public domain articles in helping you write your articles. With the public domain articles you can simply edit them to your own style and rewrite them as you please to make it suitable for your needs. All the ideas are there already and its just a matter of finding the write article with the topic or subject you need.

This is probably the easiest way to write articles. You don’t need to scour around the library or the internet for hours for information and start an article from scratch. For webmasters who are looking for articles to fill their site and to generate a high ranking for their website in search engine results, they can just modify the article by infusing keywords and keyword phrases related to their site.

A webmaster or website operator do not risk any chance of getting sued for copyright infringement because they are public domain, once again meaning that anybody can use it. Writing articles by using public domain wont require as much work as writing one from scratch would. Not only is this the easiest way to create articles, you save a lot of time also.

One good factor in using public domain articles for your site or for any project is that you save a lot of money. You dismiss the need to hire experienced and seasoned writers that some website operators use to write their articles. While a single five hundred worded article would only set you down 10 to 15 dollars, this cost will drastically increase when you need hundreds of articles to fill the needs of your site.

For those who needs articles to generate newsletters or an e-zine, public domain articles will be very beneficial. You do not need to count on your contributors or pay writers to write down articles for your newsletter or e-zine. You can fill all the pages without any cost or the worry of being sued and sought after by the writers. You can simply copy the articles and place them on your newsletter and e-zine.

Public domain articles are a virtual untapped resource that many people fail to realize the true value. The power of articles, keywords and keyword phrases have been deemed invaluable these past few years for many internet based businesses and sites that want to rank high in search engine results.

The number of article and content writers have grown significantly due to the rise in the demand for articles. As newer and newer topics and subjects have arisen, there are many demands for new articles to be written. An industry has been formed and this is a worldwide demand.

Public domain articles have given a great alternative for those who are cash strapped as well as do not have the time nor the skills to do their articles for themselves.

Searching for public domain articles is as easy as 1 – 2 – 3. You can search for them in search engines and do searches in many directories for the topic or subject that you need. Read them and simply copy paste them to a word processing program and simply edit them to suit your needs for the easiest way to create articles.

guide in writing articles

We’ve done it through junior high, it expanded longer through high school, then on college it became chapters. No matter how many times a person have done it, writing articles has proven to be a task many has continuously avoided. Now at a time when writing could help your job or work, facing the job at hand can be still faced with unfriendly behavior without a guide for writing articles.

While there are a great number of people who do not have the same attitude in article writing as others, there are still those who would rather walk in piping hot coals than do some article writing. What set other people apart from other towards article writing is that they are prepared and has some methods and procedures in writing articles.

One of the methods you can use to prepare yourself when tasked to write in article is creating an outline first. Creating an outline for all your articles makes you prepared. You have an idea of what to do first and make a plan for your succeeding steps. Being prepared makes the job easier and faster. Being organized will allow for disorientation to be shunned away.

An outline can act as the design or blueprint for your article. This will guide you in creating the introduction, body and conclusion of your article. Here in this point, you can write down some of the ideas and sentences that you feel will look good in your article. This could be some of the focal point that could help make your article creative, interesting and appealing to a reader.

A carefully planned and fully prepared project would guarantee and ensure a problem and worry free procedure that can virtually go without any hassles. Creating an outline for all your articles will get you ready and breeze through writing an article in no time at all. Here I will provide you with some tips and guidelines in how to create an outline for all of your articles.

Do a couple of brainstorming and jot down your brilliant ideas first. Think of some ways to attract the interest of your reader. Designate a time frame where you can write down all the ideas that you can use for your articles. By this time you should have done all your research and information searching. Review and reread your ideas and notes, gain mastery and sufficient familiarity with your topic so that writing them down later own would be easy for you.

The next step is to discover your sub topic and sub titles. As you would provide a first sentence for your article, one that would immediately grab the attention of your reader, you would need some as well for your sub topics. To be concise, you would need to get all the facts that will support and go against your point.

These are the frames or skeleton of your article, now its time to add the flesh and the meat of your article. You will need to connect all your paragraphs and sub topics. This will form the body of your Article. While the introduction will usher in the ideas of your paragraph, you will need a conclusion. The conclusion will wrap up your points and drive in what you are saying in your article.

The outline for your article would also require you to write a draft first. This may take more than one attempt but remember that it is called a draft for a reason. Your outline shall be perfected as each draft is written and this draft is meant for your eyes only so there’s no reason to feel ashamed. As you go on, you will clearly see the bigger picture and write an article that will perfectly suit what is demanded of it.

Reread and reread what you have written down. Always refer to your outline so that you wont drift away from what you had first written down. Its not hard to be caught in the moment and get lost in your writing frenzy. Your outline will help you keep in track. All those hours spent in outlining your article will not go to waste. This will serve as your guide in writing articles. Trust and rely on your outline because this will prove to be a very helpful tool in writing all of your articles.

Get Your Creative Juices Going

Writing an article doesn’t just mean putting down thoughts into words then typing and writing it. You have to capture the interest of your readers and get them to keep on reading. To send your message across you have to get the attention of the reader and have a firm grasp of their interest and pique their curiosity.

The main ingredient in baking up an article is a large dose of creativity. While creativity may come natural to many people, some just gets into a block or something to that effect that can drive someone crazy. Many writers have literally torn their hair out when they get writers block and just can’t seem to get their creative juices flowing.

Putting words into images in the readers mind is an art. A clear and crisp depiction requires a certain flair that only creativity can provide. Similes and metaphors help a lot, but the way an article gets entwined word for word, sentence by sentence then paragraph by paragraph into a whole article develops the essence of the article.

So just what do you have to do when nothing comes to mind? There is no surefire ways to get the perfect ideas but there are easy ways to get your creative juices flowing. No one can guarantee you of having the perfect mindset but many methods may aid you in achieving that state of mind. Here are five easy ways for that.

1) Keep a diary or a journal with you always. Ideas can be triggered by anything you may hear, see, or smell. Your senses are your radar in finding great ideas. Write all of them into a journal and keep it with you for future reference. You may also write down anything that you have read or heard, someone’s ideas could be used to develop your own ideas and this is not stealing. Remember that ideas and creativity can come from anywhere; it’s the development of the idea that makes it unique.

2) Relax and take time to sort things out. A jumbled mind cannot create any space for new ideas. Everyone must have a clear mind if one wishes to have their creativity in full speed. Get rid of all obstacles that can be a hindrance to your creativity. If you are bothered by something, you cannot force your mind to stay focused.

Try to relax every time that you can and think about your experiences and interactions with others to help get your creative juices flowing. Your experiences are what shape your mindset and your opinions which could be reflected on your writings. Try to discover yourself, find out what triggers your emotions. Discover what inspires you and what ticks you off. You can use these emotions to help you in expressing yourself and your ideas, with this you can grow creatively.

3) Create a working place that can inspire your creativeness. Your working place can be quite a hindrance if it doesn’t make you feel happy or relaxed. Creativity comes from being in a good state of mind and a messed up workplace that causes distraction won’t be conducive in firing up your creative flow.

Surround your working place with objects that makes you happy and relaxed. You may put up pictures, or scents, objects that inspire, or anything that can get your creativeness cranking. A clean and well organized workplace also rids of distractions and unwanted hindrances. With a good working place, you can work in peace and never notice the time pass by.

4) Set the mood. Setting the mood requires you to just go with the moment or to induce your self to feeling what makes your mind works best. Finding out what makes you tick could help you find ways to get your creative juices flowing. Set the pace and tempo for your mood and everything else will follow.

There are many ways to set the mood. Some writers have been known to use alcohol, a little sip of wine to stir up the imagination. Some would like some mood music while others let the lighting of the environment create the mood.

5) Go on a getaway and just do something unlike crazy. Letting yourself go and have fun produces adrenaline that can make your imagination go wild. Take an adventure or a solemn hike. Whatever it is that is unusual from your daily routine can take the rut out of your schedule. A content site is a site that contains content. This literal definition of a content site, however, doesn't convey the sheer effectiveness of utilizing a content site for affiliate programs. There are several distinct advantages of using a full content site as opposed to a single-page sales format.

Using a sales page or a mini site is one way to sell a product, but even then the sales page is usually accessed from a content site. These larger sites, which can be 20, 30, 40 pages or more, have the advantage of many pages of keyword optimized content that just can't be reached by a single page. With pages and pages of keyword articles, the content site has the potential for a much higher rank in the search engine line.

In addition to the SEO action, a content site is much more likely to be referenced again and again. People interested in the content will bookmark it and come back to read more about it. Multiple views can only increase the chance of sales, as well as word of mouth about the content that is provided. There probably aren't that many people that bookmark a sales page, but when a content site has lots of practical information that a reader can use, it has a better chance of being read. Using a content site is like having a catalog, and the sales page is the order form.

Having pages of content also allows you to go more into depth about the items you are selling. A sales page is an obvious sales pitch. Readers come in, mill around, and they're told why the product is a good thing to buy. A content site is seen more as information about the items- and look! They just happen to sell them here.

And, unlike a smaller site, a content site has room for plenty of products. If one of the products is failing, it can always be squashed and replaced with something that can perform better. Content sites usually are concerned with a specific topic, and within that topic there is room for any number of different products to be promoted. This creates a better chance of revenue instead of relying on only one item for the entire bulk of sales. In addition to changing around the products if they become ineffective, there is also room to change the keywords for the same reason.

A content site is also easier to promote than separate pages that each have to be promoted. An informational site can be branded to create a name for the site and its products. Creating a brand is something that can't be done with just one product that is probably being sold elsewhere on countless other pages. A brand is the collection of pages, which will be unique to your site. A brand is a powerful thing in cyberspace, and can be wielded for good or evil. Or, just to make the highest number of conversions possible.

EVERYTHING on the internet is CONTENT

Before you start to think that this is another SEO technique that may or may not work depending on the current algorithms of the search engines, think about it ...

EVERYTHING on the internet is CONTENT.

The internet is a veritable treasure trove of information. Good, bad, valuable or not, the internet is all about providing information to people. That is why smart internet marketers know that people want information from their websites ... not just SEO enriched pages of advertising.

The loopholes that search engine optimizers have been trying to use for high ranking in the search engine has created a plethora of sites that boast high keyword ratios, thousands of irrelevant hyperlinks and sometimes even redirection. These redirected websites try to create an optimized web page that the search engines will rank high but actually redirect the viewer to a less search engine friendly site.

Well, the search engines caught on. The websites that were getting the highest placements weren't always providing quality information or useful content. In fact, they not only lowered the ranking of these sites ... they even removed them from the listings completely.

This sent a shock wave through the internet community and smart marketers realized that there is only one sure way to convince the search engines that they were meant to be at the top: Quality Content.

Not only do the search engines love content, but visitors do too. By providing visitors with useful information and relevant links to other sites, they come back again and again! And that's not the only benefit.

Because website owners are now hungry for content, there is a huge market for informative articles that other website owners can use on their sites. By offering information to these sites in exchange for a hyperlink to your website, you get even more exposure, both to search engines AND customers.

Writing content for the major article directories and including a signature or "about the author" at the end of the article with a link back to your website is one of the best ways of generating free website traffic. If the article is well written and about a strong niche topic, the article will get picked up by many websites for their own sites, which can provide you with a wonderful set of viral links to your site. The more frequently your article gets picked up, the more opportunity there is for another webmaster to see it and pick it up, too.

Creating Good Content

Many internet marketers today have begun to use blogs to increase traffic to their websites. These internet marketers attract potential customers by creating good website content that is relevant to the interests of site visitors. This can prove to be a very profitable addition to your site if you know how to create good content for your blog.

First of all, you have to be able to maintain interest in the topic yourself. If you spend time writing articles or content on a subject that is of little or no interest to you, your boredom will surely come across in your articles. However, if you choose to write about something you are passionate about, then readers will see how devoted you are to the subject yourself and they will also pick up some of that passion themselves.

It is also important to write about something you care about because you will have to spend a little time keeping your blog updated. New information and content should be added regularly to keep your readers coming back for more. You will also have to spend some time doing research on your topic to make sure your ideas stay current!

After you have decided on the theme of your blog, start posting and work out a schedule as to how often and when you will post. It is a good idea to try and post something at least once a day. It may not always be a full length article, but even a comment on another article, which you can give a link to, will help to keep you current. It will take some effort to get your blog going, but once you are on the right track, it will become easier and easier to maintain.

Eventually, no matter how into your topic you are, there will come a day when you just are not feeling the passion. There are some ways you can cope with that. There are methods you can use to help create new content for your blog without feeling like you are doing the same thing day in and day out.

First of all, check out what other bloggers are doing with blogs on your topic. Many times you can post a blog that is actually in response to something another person wrote on their site. You can do this as long as you post a link back to the other person's blog. This can actually draw new readers as you "network" with others.

Also take the time to look at forums related to your topic. These forums can give you ideas for questions and answers to those questions, as well as possible article topics as you talk with others. This helps you gain knowledge of your field and gain new contacts who can become potential readers and then potential customers.

If you still need some help creating good content, search for your topic in a search engine such as Yahoo or Google. You can search for news articles related to your field. This content can serve as a springboard to help you find something to talk about.

Remember the importance of consistency in posting. You want major search engines to find your site and this is done through optimization of your blog content. If you have a higher ranking with a search engine, you will in turn attract more potential customers and generate more profit!

Writing For Your Audience

What do you know about your website's audience? How well do you understand them? As with any communications medium, the web requires authors to have a good understanding about those with whom they wish to communicate.

Content writing can be one of the most difficult parts of search engine marketing. You need to write to please both the search engines and your website's audience. A good Search Engine Marketer (SEM) will understand his or her target audience. A great way to understand your targets audience's nature, you can conduct online market research. Doing thorough research can bring valuable information such as the keywords that you as an SEM needs to be targeting. When writing your content these keywords need to be weaved into it while still focusing on the purpose on the content.

When it comes to content writing the first thing you need to keep in mind is that your audience needs to be drawn in. The content needs to be interesting, descriptive and it needs to lead the audience to a purchase decision.

How your content is written can affect how your website appears in relation to its competition. To search engines such as Google, the content of your website is very important. You can no longer just pummel your content with one specific keyword to try fooling search engines into listing your website higher in its rankings. Many search engines now search your copy for relevancy, making their results more valuable to users.

Another useful byproduct of writing quality content for visitors is that if they like it, they will link to it. This will result in the page (and the site) climbing even higher in the search engines' rankings.

In the end it is your website visitors that you should write for and not the search engines. Search engines are looking to please their users and so should you.

Creative Uses For PLR Content

If you have an internet business you know the importance of providing quality content to your visitors. Whether you focus on daily blog posts, autoresponder e-courses, a weekly newsletter, or e-books and reports for sale, you need to consistently offer new material for your visitors or they have no incentive to return.

The problem is that very few of us have time to churn out endless e-books, articles, and email courses. Even if we have the time, coming up with creative ideas and putting them together in an attractive, readable format can be challenging and require a great deal of patience.

One solution gaining in popularity is the use of private label content. No matter the topic of your website, blog or business, there is likely a provider or two that can offer affordable content that matches your needs.

But what do you do with private label content? Do you use it as is, or will the search engines cast your website into the pits of obscurity for having "duplicate content"? Will your visitors enjoy the content any less if it's not 100% original?

The greatest thing about private label content is that it can be altered and customized to be truly unique for your business needs while still providing great value for your visitors.

Here are just a few creative ideas for using private label content for your (and your visitors') benefit:

1) Chop it up. You DON'T have to use PLR content exactly in the form you received it! You can easily take portions from various reports, e-courses and e-books to make a completely new creation. Think about topics that are complementary to each other, and see if you can combine two or more topics to make a combination product. For example, a report about goal-setting can be nicely expanded with a few articles on visualization or self-confidence.

2) Create an ongoing email series using PLR content. Call it "self help daily tips" or "creative gardening ideas" (or whatever your chosen topic is) and establish a daily relationship with your visitors. You can use your daily mailings to provide a few new tips or ideas, offer reading suggestions by including affiliate links to e-books or print books, or even promote someone else's e-book for a commission!

3) Feed your blog. If you have a blog, you know the challenge of coming up with interesting posts for your visitors to read each day. Use some of that private label content to stir your creativity! Take sections of PLR content and add your own comments, or rewrite sections of the PLR content in your own words so you end up with completely unique material.

4) Create a free report to give to your clients, visitors and subscribers. Take a PLR report (or use 10 PLR articles on the same topic) and combine them into a seamless report. Insert some affiliate links or links to your own products and give it away. Put a link to the free product in your signature on discussion forums, and mention it in your bio box when you submit articles to directories. Let it work as a handy promotional tool for your website.

5) If you have a coaching business (whether life coach, business coach, prosperity coach, or any other kind of coaching) use quality PLR content to send as freebies to your clients. One of my clients (a life coach) does this. He gives my "special reports" to his coaching clients as surprise gifts ... and they love it! They feel like he really cares about their success because he conveys the message that he's thinking about them even when not actively engaged in coaching sessions.

6) Combine PLR content with your own products. If you already have an e-book or e-course, you can insert portions of PLR content to add more substance, new ideas, or simply increase the length. It helps to start with *quality* PLR content of course; otherwise you'll end up re-writing most of what you use (which is not always a bad thing, see the next tip below!).

7) Re-write it in your own words. This obviously takes more time and energy than using PLR content as-is, but it will truly be your own unique work if you have the time. If you're not a writer you may think this is too hard, but it's really very simple to do. Just go sentence by sentence throughout the content and put it into your own words. Instead of a sentence like, "Goal-setting can be confusing for even the most experienced achiever," you can change it to say, "No matter how much experience you have setting goals, it is still easy to get confused and lose your way from time to time."

8) Offer it as a bonus along with one of your own products. You may have a great stand-alone product, but your customers will enjoy even greater value for their money if you offer an irresistible bonus along with it. It's best to choose a product that complements or expands upon your product in some way. If you have an e-book on business success, why not include a bonus report about building your self-confidence or effective goal setting?

9) Offer a package deal to your customers. If your e-book sells for $19.95, and you have a private label report or e-book that fits with your e-book topic, you can give your customers the option to purchase just the e-book for $19.95, or the e-book AND the report for only $24.95. This creates added value for your customer, and you earn more per sale!

10) Finally, one of the best ways to use PLR content is to personalize it! If you have a quality PLR e-book, report or e-course that offers a solid foundation for a good product, you can simply go through it and insert your own personal experiences, ideas and advice. Share your personal anecdotes, highlight your life lessons and offer your insights to help others.

Undoubtedly, the greatest benefits of private label content are the time and money it can save for busy business owners. Hiring a ghostwriter can be costly, and writing your own content can be time consuming. With quality private label content, you get good material at affordable prices - which keeps you AND your visitors happy.

Forum Formula For Content

Do you need to write a group or a batch of articles? Whether
you are looking to create content for your own website or if you
work as a freelance writer, you will need to come up with
article ideas. Unfortunately, this is sometimes easier said
than done, especially if you aren't a "seasoned," writer.
However, there is good news. That good news is that there are a
number of different ways that you can go about getting ideas for
your articles. One of those methods involves using online
forums.

Online forums; there is a good chance that you have heard of
them before. In fact, there is a good chance that you have
visited at least one online forum before. Online forums, which
as also often referred to as online message forums or online
message boards, are places where internet users come together,
usually from all across the world. What is nice about the
internet is that there are literally millions of online message
boards or online forums. Many of these forums are tailored to a
specific group of individuals, such as those who work from home,
those who are pet owners, or those who are looking to buy a
home. Although we often view online message forums as only
being a fun source of entertainment, they are actually so much
more. In fact, they can help you come up with ideas for your
articles.

When it comes to using online forums to get article ideas or
topics, it is important that you try and focus on something in
particular. As it was mentioned above, a large number of online
forums tailor to a specific group of individuals, but not all
do. If you are looking to broaden your horizons, it is important
that you carefully choose the online message forums that you
turn to. It might also be a good idea to examine online forums
that cover a wide variety of topics. For instance, there are
many forums that are tailored to parents, but topics like home
schooling, pets, saving money, and shopping are also discussed.
Visiting an online message forums like these ones will help to
increase your chances of coming up with great article ideas or
topics.

Although you can defiantly get a number of article ideas or
topics just from visiting an online message forum, you are urged
to do more. You should seriously think about registering as a
member; most registrations are free. Participating in an online
message forum is an even better way to get ideas for you article
content. Why you may ask, because you can start your own
discussions. For instance, if you are interested in writing an
article on low-cost gifts for your pet, you should start a
discussion on the online message board that you just recently
registered with. If you receive a lot of feedback or your post
is considered a "hot topic," you will automatically know that
you have a great idea on your hands. If your topic went
undiscovered or only a small number of forum members responded
to it, it might not make the best article, especially if you are
looking to generate reader interest.

The best chance of success, when using online forums to come up
with article ideas and topics, involves registering as a member
and actively participating in discussions; however, it isn't
necessary. As previously mentioned, you can also generate a
number of article ideas or topics just by reading through an
online message board. If you decide to take this approach, it
is important that you be on the lookout for members who are
asking questions. Questions are asked when a person doesn't
know something or they can't find the answer online. These
types of questions are the ones that you should seriously
examine. If you find that a number of internet users regularly
ask the same question, that question or at least the general
topic may have the workings of a popular internet article.

Using online forums to get content or topic ideas for your next
batch of articles is just one of the many approaches that you
can take. However, using online forums to your advantage is one
of the easiest methods. It is also important to note that it
can be fun to do!

To your success,
creative-writing-ideas.com

P.S. Not only can you use online forums to get article ideas,
but you may also find yourself a new, friendly internet
community; one that you may end up visiting on a daily basis.

Content Writing is an Art

Content writing is an art of providing a new look to your dull and mundane web business. If content writing is done as per the SEO norms then your business will prosper in full form. Ones your website is ready the next task on the cards is web content writing. You'll be amazed to know that all the old and existing websites have started reframing their content so that they can attract more customers. It has been said that proper and exact web content establishes the delicate relation between targeted web content and commensurate increase in web business.

While doing content writing theme of the website should be kept in mind as content has direct relevance with the website. If your website looks attractive but written content is stale and out of focus then you end up loosing some of your potential customers. That's why it should be done according to central theme of web site as well as nature of web business. Relevant content always contribute to your business and attracts more and more customers. As we know the fact that the traffic is generated from targeted content which is dependent on the chosen set of relevant keyword and key phrases. Thus, web writing should be done keeping those keywords and key phrases in mind. The crux is that when you write keyword centric content, you're directly related to the central theme of your web site. And mind you this is the easiest of the method.

Prior gearing up for web content writing it is wise to decide on the main direction the web site is to take. As we know content development is a never ending necessity and constant updating is required. Thus, maintaining targeted content is an art and follows the logic of convergence of ideas. In big organizations, generally content writing is divided among cluster of content writers. This results in haywire of the content development and its theme. Thus, to avoid such events there should be frequent and close coordination among cluster heads and among cluster members. However, in small organizations these are rare incidents as particular content writing is headed by a particular content writer. But on the flip side, small organizations cannot cater heavy work-load which only big organizations can.

Thus, a successful web business is entirely dependent upon the proper content writing and content-development. In content writing and its management there should be a consensual approach and long-term planning which will be in tune with the central theme of the website. A lost focus can create havoc in the long term which will result in business loss. So, the final words are slow and steady wins the race.

Web Content Writing

Web content writing is said to be the most easy and relatively straight-forward thing one can ever do. But when you finally sit down for it then you realize how difficult it can be. Web content writing means writing quality yet unique content for the website so that ultimately it boosts the business and your website. But ironically web content writing is chiefly driven by seo and web design. To be more precise web design literally dictates that what font should be used, particular type of wording, perfect layout. This is just for the benefits of the visitors so that they never feel uncomfortable or disappointed while surfing your site. Same happens in the seo as they want the content which is search engine keyword friendly. Thus, in short web content writers have to listen what seos and web designers have to say.

To be honest web content writing is not as easy task and involves a careful process. And this careful process is basically dependent upon the right information, the right style, and the right keywords. All these measure are taken just to attract more visitors, easy for search engines to index, assuring that you achieve a good ranking and are easier for web users to find. Thus, it won't be wrong to say that web content writing is an art and skill which is to tackle with full ease. Else you will end up loosing your visitors and customers. The sure shot mantra to web content writing is that each and every word should be focused on the reader or visitor. The content should be very engrossing and crisp so that visitor is bound and attracted to read it till the end. As longer the visitor sticks around your website, the better your chance of getting your message across. And in return you'll achieve your goal for which you actually strive for.

Keywording is the nucleus of any web content writing. It should be done in keeping the needs of seos and web designers. Both have their different needs and requirements and should be catered properly so that none of them suffers. As far as seo point of view goes keyword placing is the most important task involved in it. And for web designers there are certain rules which should be kept in mind. Those rules are as follows:

1- Always use 10 or 12 font size as this font size is best for readability.

2- As far as size goes always use Verdana, Arial, Palatino Linotype, and Helvetica. Reason being all of them are very clear, and well spaced.

Quality Content

In order to create quality content for your visitors the general principles that you must follow are:

- it has to be relevant to the main topic of the site (about product/products/services, etc)
- the content can fit in the general industry of the website (about related products/services)
- it has to provide value to the visitors ( potential customers )

If you do create a website with quality content you will benefit from:

- increased customer-to-client conversions (because they understand why but also how to use your product/service)
- increased search engine traffic ( because more pages with content mean more visibility, along with the long tail of search)
- more natural, quality and relevant links ( because they will be pointing from established sites in the same industry as yours, from within the context and with the relevant keywords )

If you are wondering where to get quality content, it is quite simple and hard at the same time because the best way to obtain quality content is to write it yourself thus the chances of having a duplicate content will be null. If you don't have any writing experience, you should start writing because you and only you knows what your product is about, you know how to promote it the best. We offer you a small list of how to do it:

- start writing ( any amount of text, on a regular basis )
- you must focus on the benefits of your product
- format the text for the WWW
- provide value and numerous points of view on your product
- keyword research is imperative
- write natural titles and content

By writing quality content for your site you will get more targeted traffic and will most likely help you to increase conversions. These are the reasons:
Getting more traffic onto your website:

- people will link to valuable content, which will increase your website search engine rankings
- valuable content will also generate word-of-mouth advertising ( the most appreciated type of advertising available )
- by adding quality ( unique ) content, you make your site findable by a much wider array of words (search queries)

Increasing conversions:

- by getting more and more traffic the amount of potential customers will increase ( at least theoretically ), thus increasing conversions

- while reading your unique & valuable material, the visitors of your website will have not only more time but also ideas of purchasing your product/service

- when providing value to your visitors ( potential customers ), they will be more likely to remember you when they are in need of the product/service you provide

Don't know what to write about? Although there are many ways of writing content that appeal to the visitors, there is only one important principle: the content written is targeted to provide value. Stick to one topic in which you have a basic knowledge. By gradually writing on that topic, you become more knowledgeable, since you do lot of research and thinking on that particular topic. Writing on a well-versed topic is much an easy task then writing on something that you are not fully aware. When you are writing on the subject that you are expert at, you write faster and correctly explain your feelings to the web audience.

2.Flexibility in Your Ideas - Do not make your blogs look monotonous and dull with verbose phrases. Bring variations in your writing. A successful blogger is one who brings maximum variation in the ideas. In this way, you can deliver a great number of well-written blogs with little research and less time. As a creative blogger you can think of bringing any number of variations without changing topics altogether. This will make your blogs appear fresh then ever to your readers. Herein you can feel the pulse of the visitors by referring to the feedback and responses and modify your writing accordingly.

3.Specific Posts for your Blogs - Restricting yourself to your domain enables you to create specific posts. This means you will be having a dedicated audience group that is searching for the topics you write. Increasing keywords in your blogs make it easier for the search engine to deliver just the exact article, as the reader wants to read. Furthermore, by placing ads in your site, specific to your blogs, will help you generate more profits because when a visitor visits your blogs, they are more likely to click on the link of that advertisement. More clicks on ads mean more money and you will earn rich dividends by the blogs.

Captivating Content Creation

Do you write interesting articles; articles that your readers can't
wait to finish reading? Or do you write traditional, boring
articles; articles that your readers may not even finish
reading? If you answered traditional boring articles or even a
collection of them both, you may want to reexamine the way that
you write. After all, it isn't a secret that readers actually
like to enjoy what they read. That is why it is extremely
important that you write captivating content.

As it was mentioned above, the subject of your articles isn't as
important as the way that your articles are written, but it is
still important. For that reason, you will want to write
articles that interest you, but also ones that will draw in
readers; readers from all walks of life. The best way to come up
with these article subjects is to use the internet to your
advantage. After all, the internet is likely where your articles
will be published. To find 'hot topics,' to write about, you
will want to use keyword research tools, search engines, news
websites, and shopping websites. When it comes to finding 'hot
topics,' these are your best sources of information. Once you
have found an interesting and popular topic to write about, you
can then focus on the way that your article is written.

The goal of any article writer is to have their article read and
loved by readers; however, there are some cases where this is
more important than others. Many internet users, namely
webmasters use articles to create back-links to their websites.
These back-links are used increase website traffic. The only
problem is that many article directories only allow links at the
end of an article. This means for you to benefit from article
distribution and back-linking, your readers must make it to the
end of your article. If you are a webmaster who is using this
technique, it is extremely important that you go the extra mile
to ensure that your articles are interesting and easy to read.

Speaking of interesting, the best way to determine whether or
not your article is interesting is if you like it. After you
have created your article, you will need to proofread it. After
you have thoroughly proofread your article, you are urged to
review it one more time. This time, you will want to examine it
as a reader, not the article writer. If you find your content
dry, dull, or boring, there is a good chance that your readers
will as well.

An article that is easy to read is also important. You can
write a captivating article, but if it difficult to read, it
won't do you any good. When it comes to easy to read articles,
grammar is an important component. Whether you are planning on
selling your articles, using them for your own personal use, or
submitting them to article directories, you need to take the
time to proofread your articles. Many internet users claim that
the number one turn off is articles that are poorly written.
There is no quicker way to lose a reader than to have an article
that is poorly proofread.

In conjunction with readable articles, grammar wise, it is also
important that you examine the words that you use. To sound
professional, many article writers use big, technical sounding
words. This is okay to do is some cases, but it is typically
advised against. The only time that you should use big,
technical words if you are writing an article that will be read
by experts in the same field. The second biggest turn off for
readers is content that regularly contains words they do not
know or understand. In a way, this is similar to creating dry,
boring content. If your readers cannot understand exactly what
you mean, they may find reading your article to be useless or a
waste of their time.

The best way to write captivating articles is to write from your
heart. When it comes to article writing, even just a little bit
of creativity can go a long way. Creativity is what can turn an
otherwise boring article into one that your readers will not
only enjoy reading, but one that they may also recommend to
others.

P.S. When writing articles, creativity is extremely important.
Even if you do not consider yourself to be a creative person,
you are urged to sit down and brainstorm. You may find that it
is the best way to develop captivating article ideas.

private label rights added

CLICK HERE Web sites that are nothing more than glorified link farms or ad spiels must work harder and invest more money to gain visitors - almost none of them return. To keep users returning, there must be a reason. Articles can serve two major roles in maintaining a successful website - content and promotion. Just minutes from now you could be on your way to building a more successful business. Article creation and submission is one of the greatest promotional tools ever.

CONTENT

Every web site that wants to succeed at competing for eyeballs must have solid content to offer. Otherwise, the visitor is off in mere seconds - never to return. Make the visitor glad they visited and you have potentially created a loyal user.

Think about some of the more popular web sites on the Internet. Why would you visit them? Why would you return? Let's look at a popular news site, FoxNews.com. I visit Fox News to read the latest news stories. I go back because I know there will be fresh articles waiting for me. I visit my favorite writing web site because I know there are great articles there and new ones appear often.

Do you see a theme? I am not going to a web site that is about other web sites or is a link farm - I am going to the source of what I desire. These sources not only receive my attention but have a good chance at selling me something. Over time, my trust in these web sites increases and I am more open to what they have to offer. It is important to offer quality content to hook the visitors in and update often to give them reasons to return. Your web site is an extension of you and your company. How visitors perceive your web site is how they will perceive you. This is why it is important that articles be well written. Anything less will compromise your perceived image.

PROMOTION

There is no easier way to establish links and incoming traffic to your web site than writing articles - or having someone write them for you. It could take months or longer for a web site owner to gain a significant amount of relevant links on other web sites. However, it can take days, with no effort, to accomplish the same feat with one well crafted article. The process is extremely simple.

1. Write the article or have it written for you.
2. Submit the article to article distribution services.
3. Start working on the next article or have a writer do it for you.

Once your article is out there it will work itself onto web sites across the Internet, which will end up generating incoming links for your web site. Moreover, this will increase your link popularity, which is very important for great search engine rankings. It would be wise to write articles that pertain in some way to your own web site. Don't forget to use the article on your own web site too.

The promotion world is waking up to this article creation technique and in time the competition will be fierce. The time to get started is right now. One well crafted article can easily be worth thousands of dollars in promotional efforts.

Writing Persuasive Web Content

Writing persuasive web content covers a wonderful variety of writing techniques. You can use different voices, humor, inspiration, or sales copy. Every web page should have a purpose: To familiarize, to inform, or to call the reader to action (click to the next page, join a newsletter, buy a product, or sign up for a mini-course.)

The writing style or technique you use for each web page should be "in tune" with the goal of that page. And the one key to writing persuasive web content -- and ultimately a successful web site -- is this: Understand Your Readers.

Website owners and writers understand the purpose behind most websites is to generate income.

It is a well-known fact that the majority of web readers are seeking information. These readers likely do not know that most web sites exist to make money.

Think Like Your Readers

When you understand this one aspect, then you will succeed in writing very effective and persuasive web content. Think like your readers, who probably have reached your site looking for help, reinforcement, or how-to-do-something. Great persuasive web content isn't a sales pitch. It's much more far-reaching than that.

When a reader lands on your web page full of friendly, useful, and legitimate content about their search term, he or she will begin to trust and believe in you, the website author. Keep the elements of good web writing sharp: Familiarization, Information, and Action.

Write so your readers feel familiar with your site. Speak directly to them. Help them know where they are on the website with clear navigation. Establish rapport with your readers by showing them you understand their concerns. Let them know how and why you have the means to help them. When your reader feels comfortable and familiar with you, they will spend time reading about your product or service.

Write pages full of interesting, easy to read advice, facts, and information. There is no better way to show your credibility to your readers. Surprise them with the latest updates and breaking news about your subject. Give them new perspective for them to sink their teeth into.

Keep It Real... Readers Will Detect When You Don't

Your readers need to know you're legitimate ... and you prove this to them with your knowledge and fair assessments of your product or service. Never stop working to establish trust with your readers.

Persuasive web content always leads to action. Make the desired action clear and easy for your readers to respond to. A complicated response process makes for a miserable failure! Write pages that use understandable links and simple buttons for readers to click.

Be honest at all times with your implications, too. If you're retrieving their email address with the intent of sending newsletters or product updates, say so right up front. Never manipulate your reader in any way.

Writing great persuasive web content appeals to the reader's intelligence and true needs. Never disrespect readers by appealing to fears and insecurities. Too many web writers have tried this and failed.

Remember that you serve your own interests best by serving your reader's interests. That is the mark of a truly legitimate web site where persuasion begins naturally and becomes dynamic. The results you see will be remarkable!

Copyright 2006 Trish Andrews

PLR as fresh content?

I know you are saying it's strange that there are posts about private label rights on a blog for creating web content ... why?
